The Mystic Shrine of North America is an International, non-profit organization founded on August 13th 1870. In 1922 it expanded its horizons when it opened the first Shrine Hospital for Children. That is the Shrine Charitable Foundation which is frequently referred to as: "The World's Greatest Philanthropy"
